The first computer language for children, Logo was invented by Seymour Papert in 1968.

Logo allows kids to take a more active stance toward technology by helping them to be producers, rather than passive consumers.

Most "interactive" products on the market today do little more than turn kids into "answering machines," mouthing set answers to fixed answers. The activity of programming allows kids to explore, to ask their own questions and discover their own answers.
